Karratha Ward

Karratha is the main town with in the City of Karratha. Karratha is an aboriginal word for "good country" or "soft country" and takes its name from Karratha Station.

The town of Karratha has a population of 15,828 (ABS 2016).

Karratha has progressed over recent years due to a number of factors:

  • Good local government management;
  • Royalties for Regions;
  • Pilbara Cities; and
  • Great support from the majority of local residents who love where they Live | Work | Play.
